After 6 weeks away in Nepal and Thailand we’re back and still trying to get used to the fact that it’s not 30C!

The hike in the Annapurna region of Nepal was pretty amazing. We walked a total of about 250,ooo steps over 281km in 16 days. Of the four of us who started,  Stephanie and I finished on foot while the rest of our team opted to leave early due to knee problems and separation anxiety  🙂 We had days of 30kms in one shot, forest fires, sand storms, pushy donkeys, and some of the most spectacular scenery on earth.

Thailand was a whole different but equally beautiful place. There will be much more on all of this in the coming weeks as I get through all of the photos.

The following photo is our hiking group that formed over the first 3 days of the hike. It is actually 3 groups and all of our awesome porters and guides and we’re at the highest point of the whole circuit – Thorong La (5415m). The horse (Lata) was there to help with getting people over who could not make it under their own steam.
