Corie and Dre had their Westin Hotel and Blessed Sacrament Wedding in June.
If there is one thing that will not be forgotten about this wedding, it’s the fact that it took place within sight of the famous Ottawa sink hole. Thankfully, this made for an endless list of jokes and had no other effect.
This wedding was kind a dream for me. Corie and Dre are about as fun and full of life as any people I have ever met. Not surprisingly, their wedding party and pretty much everyone there was equally energetic so much of the day felt like being in a wedding comedy movie. That would have been enough to make for a great day but then I also spent the day with Shannon Kennedy from Kennedy Events and Joseph, Julien, and Stefan from Cloud in the Sky Productions. This made the time fly and everything run as smoothly as possible. That’s a great combo!
Our day started with the guys at Dre’s parents house. If you know any Italians, you can imagine the scene. Lots of food, the groomsmen harassing each other, and more hair product than should be legal. What got me was the thoughtfulness and genuine caring of these guys underneath all of the ribbing. Admittedly, I didn’t think that I would enjoy the time with the girls as much as the guys since it was so good with the guys. Within a few minutes at the Westin, it was pretty obvious that the girls could hold their own in the awesome department. The bond that both sides of the wedding party share made it more than obvious exactly what it was that brought Corie and Dre together.
Everything during the ceremony and photos was flawless, followed by the stunning setup and service at The Westin. I’m so glad to have been part of such a fun day and the start of what will be a great story to come.

Making a princess sparkle takes work

So the Cloud in the Sky guys and I were shooting and communicating across the canal. We asked if it was possible to get Corie and Dre to do a romantic dance on the bridge. “Hey, can you guys dance?” This is what we got…
