Shannon & Michael had their Orchardview wedding a couple of weeks ago.
On the morning of the wedding, the weather radar was far from encouraging. It looked like we were in for a soaker of a day. As a weather nerd and wedding photographer, it was impressive and scary at the same time. Despite the odds, it rained for a total of 20 minutes and that was while everyone was under the roof of the gazebo. If I were a suspicious person, I could almost be convinced that the weather decided that while they had no choice but to rain, it would be at the least annoying time in the entire day.
When we arrived to see the girls, you would expect at least a tiny bit of annoyance with the weather. Nope! There was more than enough sunshine to go around in the house and the tone for the day was set. The ceremony with Alan Viau was flawless as usual, the photo time (at the Watson Mill) was great thanks in part to that miraculous weather change, and the reception was a blast. Great job by the staff at Orchardview in making the evening run so smoothly!
