Elizabeth and Tony had their Strathmere wedding on a rainy day a couple of weeks ago.

Most wedding photographers will tell you that they don’t like rainy days. Photographing in the rain isn’t the problem since we can use umbrellas and cover our gear. The biggest issue is the mood of the people at the wedding and the wish to avoid getting wet. In general, it doesn’t usually make situations any better…

Then there is Elizabeth and Tony! I’m not 100% sure that Elizabeth even noticed that it never even once stopped raining because if she did, it either had no effect, or she is seriously into rain. The end result for us was that we had a truly great time photographing some of the most positive and joyful people that we can imagine. It’s not often that you’ll hear me say, “what a great rainy day!”

It was wonderful to work with fellow Third Floor York photographer, Melanie Shields again. Always a great time! Thanks Mel!
