Billings Estate Wedding for Cheri & Neil

Cheri and Neil had a beautiful Billings Estate Wedding a couple of weeks ago! But first a little back ground because this is cool…

I only had the opportunity to meet these guys face to face a few days before the wedding since before that, all we did was communicate through email and Skype. I’m pretty sure that about half of that communication was only so that Cheri could remind me that it was 30C there at home in Singapore while we were still struggling through winter. Yes she was mean to me… Cheri & Neil initially met in Japan while teaching English. Neil was from Northern England and Cheri from Port Hope and apparently, they liked each other and Asia. I honestly appreciate making everyone fly between 20 and 9 hours hours to have me shoot it. I’m flattered of course!

The big day started at the Lord Elgin hotel with me bouncing back and forth between Cheri’s room of unbridled cuteness, Neil’s room of pre-wedding speech stress, and Neil’s parents room of celebratory alcohol. If I had even the slightest weakness for alcohol, that would have been the end of me right there. From there we headed to Billings Estate for a perfect, sunny September day. We were greeted by an equally sunny Alan Viau who delivered his signature fun/light-hearted ceremony. The remainder of our time together was spent taking family and couple photos in the ByWard Market with a brief stop at the Courtyard Restaurant.
