What is an engagement shoot?
We’re often asked what an engagement shoot is. Engagement shoots have a number of benefits. Most importantly they allow a couple to be photographed in a relaxed and romantic way prior to their wedding day. They can wear what they want, be photographed when and where they want, and make the shoot as personal as they like. The difference between this and a wedding day shoot is that there is no schedule to worry about!
With the photos, couples usually make slide shows, signing books, large prints, or anything else that they can think of to use at the wedding reception. They make a beautiful keepsake of life prior to marriage. The other benefit to an engagement shoot is that it gives the couple and the photographer the opportunity to work together and be completely ready for the wedding day. This is particularly helpful for couples who don’t normally enjoy being photographed.
