Wendi & Rob had a Parliament wedding back in July. The first time we all met was for their engagement shoot a few months before. This spanned a nice part of the west side of downtown and gave me a chance to see exactly what these 2 would be like on a shoot so I had a lot of anticipation for their wedding.
The wedding day started with a combined getting ready of the 2 in separate areas of the Chateau Laurier. This is always a great option when shooting getting ready since it allows me to go back and forth between rooms to get different stages of each. Wendi is Chinese and Rob and family are British so the blending of cultures for this tiny wedding made for a great time. Once the getting ready was finished, most of us (minus Wendi) walked to a secret location behind Parliament Hill where Wendi used to frequent in her high school years. With a small group of us in a little clearing with Keith Langille we had the most intimate and sweet wedding possible. Short and sweet!
