Anne-Marie and Gerry had their St Bartholomew wedding last Saturday. This was about the most beautiful sunny day we have had so far this summer…

I always find it particularly interesting when people can have their kids at their wedding. This used to be a backward sort of thing but it’s something that you see more all the time. Who else would you rather spend one of the best days of your life with than your own kids. Usually they miss out on that sort of thing.  The one thing you realize when you are having a wedding later in life is that the last thing in the world you are going to stress out about is your wedding. You are going to have a great time no matter what because that is what it’s all about.  This was certainly the case with these two!  Gerry even managed to serenade his new bride during the ceremony with a completely customized version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”.

We then had a chance to visit a few locations around Ottawa and the Museum of History for photos. We finished off this wonderful short wedding at Sterling Restaurant in Gatineau.  A truly great day you guys!

A few minutes alone before walking into the church…

Getting ready to walk down the aisle together…

Gerry discovers that it’s a lot harder than expected to sing when filled with emotion!

Some fun with your 20-year-old son!

A bizarre mix of cinderblocks, graffiti, and reflected limo light…

Finally, someone who knows what to do with tourists who photograph their wedding!

I just told them to smile….  🙂
