Lara and Elliott had a great Restaurant 18 wedding a few weeks ago. My time with them was shorter than usual. We all met behind the National Gallery for “the reveal” which set the tone for the rest of the day. It started with just Elliott and I discussing how nervous he was while I made sarcastic remarks to make it even worse. 🙂 Within a few minutes, Lara was dropped off by her father in the distance. Elliott was tucked away behind a tree and I was lucky enough to get a front row seat of a very special moment. Why we all get so goofy and emotional on wedding days is still beyond me but you can’t argue with how sweet it is.
From the National Gallery, we made our way to the Earl of Sussex for a toast, meandered through some courtyards (like the one behind the Third Floor York studio) and finally ended up at Restaurant 18. As anyone who has been or photographed there, Restaurant 18 is a beautiful venue and run perfectly for weddings. Stephanie Cummins was on hand making sure that everything ran smoothly and of course it did. Officiating the wedding from All Season Weddings was Peter Fortier. I have never worked with Peter before and it was a pleasure to listen and watch as he kept everyone in stitches through much of the ceremony.
The rest of the evening was similarly great and I hope the honeymoon was too!
