Meredith & Zak had their Museum of Nature wedding a few weeks ago.
As a photographer, it’s always fun to go back to a location after a year and see how your perception has changed and how that will affect the photography. Add to this a new couple and their fun personalities and it feels like a brand new place. This was very much the case a few weeks ago when I met with Meredith, Zak and their families to photograph their wedding. It’s not often that I can stay in the same location for the entire day and especially downtown.
Wouldn’t you know it? Zak went and broke his leg just weeks before the wedding. If you’re like me you’re thinking “oh man, how did Meredith react to that??”. The silver lining or course is that Zak could use the cane as a distinguished prop, and when he wanted to sit down, no one could tell him otherwise. That’s a win in my book!
The wedding day was fast paced and a tremendous amount of fun. We were able to get almost all of the wedding party and family photos before the ceremony and still not have Meredith and Zak see each other. The ceremony was performed in the Lantern Room with the ever amazing Keith Langille of Exceptional Ceremonies. There was plenty of emotion and laughing through tears as is often the case with such a wonderfully loving couple. Again, it could have been the sore leg but I prefer to think that it was love 🙂 The remainder of the day went perfectly and ended with a perfect meal by Tulips & Maple and dancing the night away.
Thanks for such a great day everyone!
